Child Care Resource & Referral offers hundreds of state-approved training hours throughout the year in each area of our region. We follow all guidelines set forth by the Georgia Training Approval system, for both single-session trainings and conferences. All workshops/conferences are approved and/or accepted by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning.

We strive to cover a wide range of topic areas beneficial to early childhood programs and providers, basing this information on our assessment of programs, and input received from professionals. We also offer trainings at different levels, and through a variety of methods.

Please review the information below about our training policies:

  • Pre-registration is required at our training events. Walk-ins may not be accepted. Please refer to registration information from specific events for specific registration instructions. Please follow all instructions closely to ensure that you are properly registered, as enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note we do not accept cash payments.

  • Check-in for our conference events begin at 8:00 a.m. You will be able to check-in from 8:00-8:45 a.m. Workshops begin PROMPTLY at 8:45. Participants who are late may not receive a certificate for attendance and participation. Refunds/credits are not available to participants who are late.

  • All trainings and events we conduct are hands-on, interactive events. Participants are expected to actively participate. Please silence your cell phone, and cooperate and engage with the instructor during workshops.

  • Please arrange appropriate care for your child/children; childcare is not available for our events.

  • Food will not be provided at our events. A lunch break will be provided at our 6-hour conference events for participants to have time to leave the premises and purchase food or beverages if they wish. Eating is to take place outside of the classrooms when possible.

  • Please bring a jacket or sweater with you if you feel you may need it as we do not have control of thermostats at our events.

  • Refunds are only available in the event that classes are cancelled by Child Care Resource and Referral. Should you be unable to attend, substitutions are encouraged. We reserve the right to cancel a conference for multiple reasons, including insufficient registrations, inclement weather and natural disasters.
